ob Title: Scan Coordinator

Location: Urapakkam

Reports to: Operation Head

Job Purpose

To manage and coordinate the scheduling, documentation, and workflow of obstetric and gynecological scans within the Birthing Centre, ensuring timely, organized, and high-quality imaging services for expectant mothers and clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling & Coordination

Organize and maintain the scan appointment calendar for antenatal patients (e.g., dating scans, anomaly scans, growth scans).

Coordinate between obstetricians, sonographers, patients, and other departments to ensure efficient scan services.

Prioritize emergency or high-risk cases in collaboration with clinical staff.

Patient & Staff Communication

Communicate scan schedules and instructions to patients and respond to inquiries.

Ensure patients are adequately prepared for their scans (e.g., fasting, bladder preparation).

Liaise with clinicians for follow-up actions or clarifications regarding scan findings.

Documentation & Records

Maintain accurate records of all scans, appointments, and reports using the hospital’s EMR or PACS system.

Ensure scan reports are correctly typed, reviewed, and uploaded to the patient’s medical file.

Monitor and report delays, cancellations, or missed appointments to the appropriate team.

Compliance & Quality

Ensure that all scan services comply with hospital protocols, patient privacy laws, and clinical guidelines.

Support audit and quality assurance initiatives related to imaging in the birthing centre.

Administrative Support

Assist in preparing monthly reports on scan volumes, no-shows, and patient feedback.

Manage inventory of scan-related materials (e.g., forms, gels, gowns).

Skills & Competencies

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work under pressure and prioritize urgent cases.

Experience

Minimum 2 years in a hospital or clinical coordination role, preferably in obstetrics or radiology.

Experience managing patient flow and clinical scheduling is highly desirable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
