**Your Role and Responsibilities**
- As a MS SQL DBA SME, you will be responsible to manage and administer MS SQL Server databases with support of daily operations and helps to develop strategies to improve availability and utilization of MS SQL Servers Environment of multinational clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage MS SQL server databases
- Develop strategies to Improve availability and utilization of MS SQL Servers environment
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
- Logging, managing, and resolving SQL Server SR's with Microsoft Support
- Installs, maintains, administers, and tunes MS SQL Server databases
- Completes database backups and maintains backup procedures.
- Maintains database high availability and the upkeep and availability of other Database systems as required.
- Creates automation scripts to perform repetitive tasks and to ensure high data integrity.
- Serves as backup to the Senior Database Administrator role.
- Determines database management needs and recommends system upgrades as necessary.
- Ensures that databases are restored in a timely and efficient manner in the event of system failure.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Minimum 6+ years of experience supporting server virtualization VMWare/Hyper-V
- Hands on experience coding batch/powershell scripts for automating repeat manual tasks
- Minimum 2 year experience on cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- At least 2 year experience implementing VMWare products like vSAN, NSX, vRA & vROPS
- Hands on experience implementing clustering & HA configuration.
- Worked on BSOD, crash dump analysis.
- Good hardware knowledge on IBM, Dell, CISCO UCS & HP is required.
- Strong knowledge of SAN storage, VMFS, iSCSI, NFS, etc.
