**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Payroll Processing**:
- Manage and process the organization’s payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports.
- **Compliance and Reporting**:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to relevant government agencies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
- **Employee Benefits Management**:
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored programs.
- Process and manage employee claims related to benefits.
- **Payroll System Management**:
- Maintain and update payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll system issues as they arise.
- **Record Keeping**:
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including hours worked, taxes, deductions, and leave balances.
- Ensure confidentiality of payroll data and records.
- **Employee Support**:
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, benefits, and other related issues.
- Provide assistance and support in resolving payroll discrepancies.
- **Audits and Reconciliation**:
- Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- **Collaboration**:
- Work closely with the HR department to ensure seamless integration of payroll with other HR functions.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure proper allocation of payroll expenses.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Certification in payroll (such as CPP or FPC) is a plus.
