**Job Description for Accountant**

**Position**:Accountant
**Experience**: 3 To 5 years
**Location**: Ahmedabad

**Position Overview**: An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, with proficiency in Tally software and a deep understanding of accounts receivables. They play a crucial role in analyzing financial information to guide decision-making within an organization. This position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and expertise in accounting principles and Tally software.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Financial Record-Keeping:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Tally software, including ledgers, journals, and subsidiary accounts.
- Record financial transactions, such as income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, in accordance with established procedures.
- Accounts Receivable Management:

- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to track outstanding invoices and follow up with customers for timely payments.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assess credit risks and establish credit limits for customers based on their creditworthiness.
- Financial Reporting:

- Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements using Tally software on a regular basis.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
- Generate ad-hoc financial reports as requested by management or regulatory authorities.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts using Tally software by providing financial insights and projections.
- Monitor budgetary performance and variance analysis to identify areas of concern and recommend corrective actions.
- Compliance and Regulations:

- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors during audits.
- Financial Analysis:

- Conduct financial analysis using Tally software to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide recommendations to management based on financial analysis to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting, record-keeping, and internal controls using Tally software.
- Implement best practices to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other departments such as finance, operations, and sales to gather financial information and support business initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment on financial matters.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Preferably working from IT Company
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, with expertise in Tally software and accounts receivable management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
