Highway Site Supervisor

As a **Highway Supervisor** in a construction company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the construction and maintenance of highways, roads, and transportation infrastructure projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within the specified time and budget.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project Planning and Coordination**:

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop detailed project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.

**Supervision and Quality Control**:

- Provide on-site supervision and direction to construction crews, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Conduct inspections to verify the quality of workmanship and materials used.
- Identify and address any deficiencies or deviations from project requirements, taking corrective action as necessary.

**Health and Safety**:

- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety briefings and provide training to workers on safe work practices and hazard mitigation.
- Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including progress reports, daily logs, and site documentation.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to project managers, highlighting project status, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of project close-out documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and operation manuals.

**Stakeholder Management**:

- Liaise with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and address any concerns or issues.
- Attend project meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance as required.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with all parties involved in the project.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- A bachelor's degree/ diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience of minimum 5 yrs in highway construction and supervision is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment related to highways and roads.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing highway construction.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
