**Introduction**:
Work collaboratively with others across BIA, while developing strong client relationships which are independent and be seen as a respected voice. Develop practical and innovative ways of improving audit delivery through the use of data analytics

**What will you be doing?**
- Act as the data analytics contact for a portfolio of audit teams, supporting with day-to-day analytics. Self-manage workload.
- Develop an understanding and awareness of audit within Barclays, including BIA’s audit methodology.
- Assist with the build of self-service tools/dashboards/data models/innovative approaches to audit using analytics.
- Assist with data sourcing, cleaning and preparation for audit delivery teams.
- Provide coaching to a small number of audit staff identified as Data Specialists, on how to develop and execute basic Data Analytics using SQL and Python.
- Provide support to junior members of the team; including delegation of appropriate work and quality review.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Practical experience and knowledge of data analysis/data modelling - with either Python/Scala/Spark/R.
- Practical experience working with SQL and relational databases.
- Evidence of a critical mind-set, and ability to challenge ideas to find the most appropriate solution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with regard to describing complex programming to non-technical audiences.

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Proven ability to quickly learn emerging data analytics technologies and use them on the job.
- Proven ability of working through challenging problems, and working independently to research solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, balancing conflicting priorities, and managing stakeholders with a variety of demands.
- Experience with advanced data science/machine learning techniques (Random Forests/Clustering/Tensorflow).
- Experience working in an audit, risk or control area.
