About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- To create primary database storage structures, design and create primary objects, modify database structure as necessary for enhancements or performance, create documentation, design interfaces, database objects, and create plans.
- To monitor and optimize the performance of the database, plan for backup and recovery of the database, and allocate system storage and plan future storage needs.
- To create database-related scripts and programs to support development and production environments.
- To research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, and plan implementation of new or improved RDBMS, ETL and database tools.
- To manage and mitigate risk.
- To cooperate closely with the key security service providers: vendor support teams, security operation centres, external security consultants to achieve CIA on all fronts.
- To respond promptly to ad-hoc security queries from internal customers.
- To take action of incident response and training.
- To do security audits.
- To assess and approve requests for change, privileged access provision requests and other requests.

To Succeed in the Role, You Should Have:

- At least 3 years of experience supporting relational databases as a DBA, with multiple distributed relational DBSM*s or a depth and focus in Oracle and related tools.
- Exposure and practice at using the DBMS to optimize the performance of large databases for enterprise use are preferred.
- Knowledge of backup and restoration, basic optimizations, normalization, SQL, Linux Operating Systems and know how to read a query plan, stored procedures and triggering
- Good understanding of migrating Oracle database to Oracle cloud
- Excellent interpersonal skills, proficient verbal, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity products.
- Fluent English (written, spoken) skill, other languages is a plus.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic turnaround environment.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and make things happen according to plans.
