Dgps Operator

**Certification in DGPS is mandatory**
**Immediate joiners are preferred**

**Technical Skills**
1. Understanding of GPS/DGPS Systems
Solid knowledge of how **GPS and DGPS work, including satellites, correction signals, and base stations.**
2. Navigation and Positioning Software
Proficiency in using positioning software like **Hypack, QINSy, Delph, or Trimble systems.**
3. Geodesy and Coordinate Systems
Knowledge of geodetic concepts, map projections, **datums, and coordinate transformations.**
4. Radio and Signal Transmission
Familiarity with communication **protocols used for transmitting correction signals** (e.g., RTCM, NMEA).

**Operational & Equipment Skills**
1. Equipment Setup & Troubleshooting
**Ability to install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot GPS/DGPS units, antennas, and base stations.**
2. Data Logging & Management
**Competence in recording, storing, and transferring GNSS data accurately.**
3. Quality Control of Positioning Data

**Analytical & Documentation Skills**
1. Problem Solving
Quick thinking and logical analysis to solve signal or equipment issues in the field.
2. Report Writing & Documentation
Ability to document survey logs, daily reports, and system configurations.
3. Data Interpretation
Basic ability to analyse and interpret GNSS data for accuracy and relevance.

**Soft Skills**
1. Communication
Clear communication with surveyors, engineers, and other team members.
2. Attention to Detail
Precision in equipment handling, configuration, and data verification.
3. Adaptability
Flexibility to work in challenging environments like offshore platforms or remote locations.

Works well in multidisciplinary teams, often under timesensitive conditions.
