- **Cooking Assistance**: Assist senior chefs in cooking, seasoning, and plating meals according to established recipes and standards.
- **Kitchen Hygiene & Safety**: Maintain a clean and organized workstation and adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- **Inventory & Stock Management**: Receive deliveries, check for quality, take inventory of supplies, and report when items are running low or have expired.
- **Teamwork & Operations**: Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth workflow and efficient operations.
- **Quality Control**: Monitor the quality of ingredients and final dishes to ensure consistency and adherence to high culinary standards.
- **Menu Familiarization**: Learn menu offerings, including ingredients and preparation techniques, to support guests and other team members.
**Skills & Qualifications**
- A strong foundation in Continental cuisine and various cooking techniques (e.g., sautéing, roasting) is beneficial.
- Passion for culinary arts and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Prior experience in a professional kitchen environment is often preferred.
