Part Time- 3. Key Objectives of the Job
- To understand the organizational and the stakeholders’ need and review documents in Hindi meticulously while picking up gaps/mistakes while editing the document.
- To be meticulous while proof reading the documents and creating error free translation.
- To mentor Senior Translator and guide them in translation of various documents in Hindi which will be easily understood while maintaining the key essence.
- 4. Major Deliverables
The major responsibilities are:

- To work with the Senior Translator and support them with translation, proof reading and transcreation of various modules, manuals, documents and M&E tools.
- To mentor the Senior Translator in ensuring to maintain the translated document’s texts, grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy.
- To translate documents in Hindi and be consistent in the language, vocabulary and style used in alignment to Arpan standards and maintain the quality of the work.
- To translate the content from Hindi to English.
- To be able to effectively plan and prioritize their work to ensure the documents are delivered on timely manner.
- To maintain the time sheet and submit on time

- To be able to translate and /or transcreate documents without losing its essence.
- To have an eye for details while reviewing, proof reading, documenting and systematically maintaining the documents.
- Work under pressure while adhering to the timelines
- To work with complete ownership
- 6. Specialized job competencies
- Strong understanding of English and Hindi language (written and spoken)
- Strong grammatical skills
- Should be able to understand, edit and proofread documents and translate/ transcreate the same in Hindi
- Demonstrate skills in proofreading and editing lengthy documents.
- 7. Educational Qualification
Post-Graduation in Hindi Literature or any other translation/transcreation related course- 8. Desired Experience
- Experienced in translation/transcreation documents from English into Hindi and vice versa.
- Prior experience of editing and proofreading lengthy document.
- Experienced in writing content and curriculum module on life skill, psychology, or social issues related to children.
- 9. Other desired attributes
- Ability to work independently, in teams; inter-personal skills; commitment to time schedules, meticulous in day to day work passionate and good organizational skills.
- Should be a stickler for detail and process adherence.
