**Job Description**:
Key Roles and Responsibilities
We are currently hiring a System Administrator to join our team and be responsible to maintain, upgrade and
manage our software, hardware, and networks across MedGenome offices. Resourcefulness is a necessary
skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the
patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. Your goal will be to ensure that
our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. Maintain essential IT operations, including
hardware. You will act as the focal point for handling technical escalations and will assist the Technical/Delivery
Manager in maintaining SLA adherence.
Skill set:
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Creating volumes, assigning to servers and remote replication
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
Desired experience and expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related) with 2-5 years of experience
- Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2012/2016) /desktop Operating Systems (Windows 7 /
Windows 10 / Windows 11)
- Expert in managing Windows Server infrastructure
- Expert for Messaging (G Suite) administration, implementations, and deployments
- Managing deployments/rollouts to servers and client OS
- Managing large scale of end users and Terminal Server installations
- Managing various server virtualization technologies
- A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking
- Group Policy design and configuration
- Microsoft IIS administration and configuration
- Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues including back bone infrastructure issues
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Must be organized and have an ability to manage projects of varying length
- Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently
- Must be a team player
You will also be expected to have:
- Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
- "Roll-up-your-sleeves" entrepreneurial, start-up attitude
- The ability to work across teams and functions effectively
