Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Chandigarh/ Mohali for a Regional Chef/ Crew Trainer. The Regional Chef/ Crew Trainer will be responsible for the training and development of new chefs across various locations with an emphasis on ensuring culinary excellence, consistency, and safety in food preparation operations. Daily tasks include conducting training sessions for new culinary staff, developing training materials, and tracking and reporting on the performance of trainees.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for the kitchen team, including new hires and existing staff.

Train kitchen staff on culinary techniques, recipe execution/SOP, food safety and hygiene practices.

Monitor and assess the performance of kitchen staff, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve their skills.

Research new training materials that will improve the training procedures.

On-board new hires and assign and conduct training sessions for them.

Identify training needs and create a curriculum to facilitate it. Regularly conduct kitchen visits to understand and address the training needs of the kitchen team.

Review product quality and focus on improving customer service parameters.

Design, implement, and monitor the quality assurance formats and training programs.

Coordinate with the operations team to ensure all required KPI’S are met.

To be a single point of contact with the team and the senior management through effective communication on key deliverables.

To ensure quality reporting and work with operations to build a highly effective measurement and reward system based on data.

**Qualifications**:
Strong passion for cooking, training, and development in the culinary industry

Minimum 1 years of experience in the food and beverage industry or culinary training and development

Demonstrated understanding of food safety practices, cooking techniques, and food preparation procedures

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to conduct training sessions and create training materials effectively

Bachelor's degree or higher in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field is a plus

Experience with developing training manuals and materials is a plus

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Open to travel across the kitchens in the Chandigarh/ Mohali location.
