**FULL JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title : SQL Database administrator**

**Role & responsibilities**:

- Working closely with IT to support physical database administration including performance management, security, installations, upgrades, patches, backup, recovery, space management, performance tuning and capacity planning
- Ensure that all databases environments are deployed, maintained and managed via proactive monitoring of performance and capacity planning of RDBMS
- Managing database backup and recovery
- Managing database security, roles, and profiles
- Ensure data requirements have been identified, design is fully normalized, and database complies with industry best practices and strict security requirements
- Supporting the critical data and content migration teams will also be a significant part of the job
- Install, configure, maintain and report on software releases and patch levels across the environment
- Creating, validating and maintaining operational processes and documentation, establish training requirements and identifying potential resource requirements
- Assisting with BCP/DRP planning and implementation
- Database technical advice
- Database monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's (or equivalent) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline is required
- 2+ years of DBA experience, expertise in database structure design and database administration, proficient in complex query analysis and tuning, database builds, migrations and upgrades, system and database troubleshooting
- Experienced in alternate open source technology is a plus
- Experienced in database partitioning and STATS methodologies, prioritization, interpersonal and resource management skills, and delivering technical documentation
- Able to work with minimum supervision, able to contribute to team work

**Experience** : 2 - 3 years

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From ₹300,000.00 per year
