Environmental Impact Assessment Coordinator

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects for Category A and B projects.
- Prepare comprehensive EIA reports in compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Manage and execute a minimum of three completed EIA projects and related environmental assignments.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and government bodies to ensure the effective execution of EIA projects.
- Provide sector-specific expertise and guidance for technical and environmental challenges.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Train and mentor team members to build technical capacity and ensure project deliverables.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Technology, Architecture, Environmental Planning, or Town Planning from a UGC/AICTE-recognized institution.
- Option 3: Diplomas/Certificates from recognized institutions such as the Institution of Engineers (India), Indian Chemical Society, or Indian Institute of Metals, deemed equivalent by the government.
- **Experience**: An EC should have an overall knowledge of the concerned sector/s applied for and a clear understanding of environmental, biotic and socio-economic aspects related to those sectors applied for.
- 7 years for Category A EIA projects / 5 years for Category B EIA projects as an EIA coordinator **or** a Functional area expert assisting the EIA team **or**a team member supporting the EIA coordinator **or** a professional in the EHS or the concerned department of the project proponent getting EIAs conducted by external consultants **or** person in the role of appraisal of EIA reports as a regulator/appraiser/ academician
- At least 3 completed EIA projects and/or related environmental assignments in the applied sector
- 2 years of industry experience in the relevant sector as an employee in their EHS/ operations/ maintenance/ projects departments.

- Petroleum refining industry
- Coke oven plants
- Chemical fertilizers
- Petrochemical complexes
- Pulp & paper industry (excluding specific activities)
- Sugar industry
- Automobile and auto components
- Cement plants
- Glass and ceramic industry
- Common hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs)
- Common effluent treatment plants (CETPs)
- Common municipal solid waste management facilities (CMSWMF)
- **Note: Mandatory sector expertise-1, more expertise is preferred.**_

**Desired Skills and Competencies**:

- Expertise in preparing and reviewing EIAs and environmental management plans.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation, policies, and regulations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

**Additional Desirable Skills and Credentials**:

- Registered Training Courses: Participation in recognized training programs (minimum of 3 days duration) to strengthen expertise in environmental assessment and coordination.
- Membership of Professional Bodies: Active membership in recognized professional organizations, such as the Institution of Engineers, Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, or others in relevant fields.
- Professional Experience: A chronological record of work experience, starting with the most recent roles, detailing responsibilities and achievements.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
