**Medical College Principal - Job Responsibilities**
**Leadership and Administration**:
- Act as the chief academic and administrative officer of the medical college.
- Provide leadership in developing and implementing the college’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
- Supervise all academic departments, hospital administration (if attached), research activities, and student affairs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies like NMC (National Medical Commission) and state health/university guidelines.
**Academic Management**:
- Oversee curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and academic calendar planning.
- Maintain high academic standards and encourage innovation in teaching and research.
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff performance.
- Facilitate faculty development programs, seminars, workshops, and conferences.
**Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation**:
- Ensure the college meets accreditation standards set by NMC, NAAC, NABH (for hospitals), and other relevant bodies.
- Prepare and submit timely reports and compliance documents.
- Coordinate with inspection teams and address deficiencies if any.
**Student Affairs and Welfare**:
- Supervise student admissions in accordance with government norms.
- Ensure a supportive academic environment and address grievances.
- Oversee extracurricular activities, counseling, mentorship programs, and student career guidance.
**Hospital Administration (if a Teaching Hospital is Attached)**:
- Coordinate with the Medical Superintendent for hospital operations and patient care standards.
- Ensure smooth integration of clinical services with teaching programs.
- Maintain hospital licensing, quality, and patient safety standards.
**Financial Management**:
- Supervise budgeting, financial planning, and allocation of resources.
- Approve departmental budgets and ensure financial accountability.
- Explore avenues for grants, donations, and research funding.
**Public Relations and Networking**:
- Represent the college in external forums, medical associations, and government bodies.
- Build partnerships with hospitals, research institutions, and international organizations.
- Promote community engagement and outreach programs.
**Research and Development**:
- Encourage research initiatives among faculty and students.
- Oversee research grants, ethics committees, and publications.
- Facilitate collaborations with national and international research organizations.
**General Duties**:
- Maintain discipline among students, faculty, and staff.
- Foster an environment of diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect.
- Lead crisis management and ensure safety and security on campus.
Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
