Job Title: Psychologist

Location: Peoples University, Bhopal

Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- Provide individual and group counseling services to students, helping them navigate personal, academic, and emotional challenges.
- Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify students’ mental health needs.
- Design and implement effective intervention strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), for students with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and other mental health concerns.
- Maintain confidential records of counseling sessions in compliance with ethical standards and university policies.
- Work closely with faculty, academic advisors, and student affairs personnel to ensure students receive holistic support.
- Facilitate workshops and awareness programs on mental health, stress management, and emotional well-being for students and staff.
- Respond to urgent psychological crises and provide necessary interventions.
- Stay updated on current psychological research, therapeutic approaches, and university policies related to student well-being.
- Provide psycho education to students on mental health topics, coping strategies, and self-care techniques.

Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Psychology (MA in Psychology) from a recognized institution.

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in counseling or clinical psychology, preferably in a university or educational setting.

Certifications: Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) is highly preferred.

- Strong clinical skills in individual and group counseling.
- Proficient in psychological assessment techniques and diagnostic evaluations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Ability to handle stressful and emotional situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Knowledge of mental health resources and support systems available to students.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
