Corporate Legal Advisor

As a Corporate Legal Counsel, you will play a vital role in providing legal advice and support to our corporation. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and assisting in various corporate legal matters. This position requires a strong understanding of corporate law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide legal advice and support to various departments within the corporation on a wide range of legal issues, including corporate governance, contracts, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, ensuring that they accurately reflect the corporation's interests and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, by conducting due diligence, drafting transactional documents, and providing legal guidance throughout the process.
- Monitor and stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the corporation's operations and advise management and other stakeholders on legal developments and their potential impact.
- Manage litigation and legal disputes involving the corporation, including coordinating with external counsel, developing legal strategies, and representing the corporation in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings when necessary.
- Develop and implement corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices and provide training and guidance to employees on legal matters as needed.
- Work closely with senior management, executives, and other stakeholders to identify legal risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel, consultants, and advisors as needed to address specialized legal matters or to supplement internal resources.
- Handle other legal matters and projects as assigned by the General Counsel or senior management, contributing to the overall success and effectiveness of the legal department and the corporation.

**Qualifications**:

- Preferred degree LLB, BA.LLB, BBA.LLB etc.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing corporate law, either in-house or at a reputable law firm, with a focus on corporate transactions, contracts, and general corporate matters.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, securities law, and other relevant areas of law, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate legal concepts and advice to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Sound judgment, integrity, and a commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and software platforms.
