**Job Description of Pasting Machine Operator.**

**Objective**:
The main objective of Pasting machine operator is to set-up and run Bobst Machine folder/gluers on a variety of cards and boxes; printed packaging items to be folded and glued to produce the products as per instructions /works order.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Present in the work station at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time.
- Ensure the machine is in good working condition before starting the real process.
- Set up and make adjustments to folder/gluer for efficient operation of the machine within a short/minimum time.
- Read work order carefully to determine and ensure proper box folding and gluing is consistent throughout production process.
- Maintain accurate production records as prescribed by ISO Standards and Company requirements.
- Ensure and preform preventative maintenance in coordination with Maintenance Team and minor repairs should be done along with own team on equipment within the time frame.
- **Maintain machine maintenance register on a real time basis and submit the same for Director’ approval at the end of every Month.**
- Communicate all job information to next shift operator in detail with necessary documentation.
- Practice good housekeeping practices in and around machine areas and safe working habits.
- Maintain acceptable production and quality standards throughout the process.
- Provide effective training to the support team as and when required.
- Make adjustments to account for different fold and glue patterns based on job specifications.
- Perform all quality checks to ensure proper gluing, folding, and minimize wastage and rework.
- Observe and monitor machine operations while running to detect and identify defects if any, do necessary settings accordingly.
- Performs visual inspection of cartons for printing, die-cutting and gluing defects while feeding and packing cartons.
- Coordinate with other department to smooth functioning of pasting departments, especially, with Quality, planning, House Keeping and despatch etc.
- Ensure wastages are cleared then and there and maintaining the areas neatly.
- Participates in line clearance procedures after each item is completed and make sure that the machine is in good working condition before handing over to the next shift operator.
- Willingness to works in other areas as needed, including QA sorting, and Flat Packing etc.
- Monitor and supervise the support team members towards their timings, leave etc.
- Ensure team members are reporting to duty on time, relieve them from work with your permission.
- Ensure effective utilisation of team with discipline.
- Rejection if any, analyse the reason and install corrective check to avoid them subsequently.
- In addition to this, the machine operator is required to work in adherence to the company Policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the pasting department as and when required as per the directions of the Management.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
