Key responsibilities of a mechanical fitter: Reading and interpreting technical drawings: Accurately interpreting blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to understand component specifications and assembly procedures. Metal fabrication: Cutting, shaping, and grinding metal materials using various power tools to create components that fit precisely. Assembly and installation: Assembling and installing mechanical components onto machines or structures, ensuring proper alignment and fit. Maintenance and repair: Identifying and fixing malfunctions on existing machinery, including replacing worn parts and performing routine maintenance checks. Welding and fabrication: Using welding techniques to join metal components as needed. Quality control: Inspecting completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Troubleshooting: Diagnosing mechanical issues and determining necessary repairs. Operating machinery: Utilizing various power tools like grinders, lathes, milling machines, and cutting tools safely and effectively. Safety compliance: Adhering to all safety regulations regarding handling heavy machinery and hazardous materials. Work environments for mechanical fitters: Manufacturing plants, Industrial facilities, Construction sites, Power plants, and Shipyards. Required skills for a mechanical fitter: Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Proficiency in using various hand and power tools Welding skills (depending on the role) Problem-solving and analytical skills Attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
