**Roles and Responsibilities**

**1. Database Administration**:

- Manage and administer SQL Server instances and databases.
- Perform database installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.
**2. Backup and Recovery**:

- Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies.
- Schedule and execute database backups and restores.
- Perform regular backup testing and verification.
**3. Performance Tuning**:

- Analyze database performance metrics and identify optimization
opportunities.
- Implement performance tuning techniques to improve database efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues proactively.
**4. High Availability and Disaster Recovery**:

- Configure and maintain high availability solutions (e.g., AlwaysOn Availability
Groups, database mirroring).
- Implement disaster recovery plans and failover procedures.
- Test and validate high availability and disaster recovery solutions regularly.
**5. Monitoring and Alerting**:

- Set up monitoring tools and alerts for system health and performance.
- Monitor system and database logs for errors and anomalies.
- Respond to and resolve alerts in a timely manner.
**6. Security and Compliance**:

- Ensure databases comply with security standards and regulations.
- Manage database users, roles, and permissions.
- Perform security audits and implement security best practices.
**7. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing**:

- Maintain up-to-date documentation for databases, configurations, and
procedures.
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for common issues.
- Share knowledge and best practices with other team members.
**8. Incident Management and Support**:

- Respond to and resolve database-related incidents and outages.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose database issues effectively.
- Provide on-call support as part of a rotation schedule.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server database administration and performance tuning.
- Experience with SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and query optimization.
- Familiarity with database security principles and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
