Pr & Media Relations

**Job brief**

We are seeking a Public Relations Manager (PR Manager) to nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness and develop an enviable corporate image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs.
- Amplify NEC’s momentum and develop & manage a broad range of strategies and proactive external communications programs and events that support the company's goals
- Create and respond to news opportunities. Seek out and/or create opportunities to further NEC POV, leadership, and public engagement on trending topics
- Drive issues management with a policy component and serve as key communications counselor on crisis issues;
- Establish and foster media relationships by serving as a trusted source, communicator and educator about NEC. Prioritize and manage incoming requests from journalists for information and build commentary around company narratives.
- Draft communication goals, plans and calendar for the region
- Securing thought leadership pieces and drafting abstracts
- Keeping abreast of latest technologies, vertical markets and industry trends and creating stories for dissemination in media
- Working closely with senior management to position them as well as the brand in relevant media
- To prepare publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, etc.
- To maintain and update information on the company and website including uploading of new pages/information.
- Deliver ongoing and consistent improvement against coverage and placement goals. Build SOV against NEC major competitors. Feed into weekly and quarterly status reports using data tracked by a PR monitoring tool. Define, measure and report success and learnings
- Manage PR and creative agencies in the India to create a positive drumbeat of NEC news and content to ensure that the regions meet or exceed success metrics including earned media coverage, SOV, and available reach. Serve as liaison between agency and data team to provide up-to-date information and statistics
- Collaborate with Field, Customer and Channel Marketing to support events and partnerships
- Lead the creation of materials, presentations, and talk tracks to prepare executives for engaging with external thought leaders and influencers
- Identify and vet relevant industry and corporate awards, events and lists
- Working closely with our India agency to lead employee branding and thought leadership
- Effectively represent NEC as a spokesperson

**Requirements and skills**:

- Experience: At least 5-8 years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities (PR for a B2B technical, IT or engineering company, preferred), or have an experience working with mostly B2B clients in a PR Firm
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to interact with media houses
- Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both online, broadcast and print media interviews
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Solid experience in drafting articles, Press releases, blogs, etc
- Event planning experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Experience in building microservices using spring boot
- Experience in participating and contributing in design discussion and implementation plan
- Experience in guiding team mates in implementing Spring Boot and Angular technologies
- Experience in maintaining runtime stack comprised of containers - Kubernetes/Docker etc
- Knowledge of cloud technologies is a plus - AWS/GCP/Azure etc
- Working knowledge of different database types is a plus (sql vs no-sql).
- Manage individual contribution along with managing team deliverables against a timeline
