Ai/ml Architect

**Job Objective**

In this role reporting to the Head of Architecture, you will serve as a key member of the architecture team for driving the AI/ML architecture strategy, blueprints, and roadmaps for enabling IndiGo’s next gen business and digital strategy. We are looking for someone who is passionate about architecting an AI-enabled airline retailer. Your primary responsibility will be to envision, build, deploy and operationalize and end-to-end machine learning (ML) and AI pipeline and collaborate with other architecture leaders to influence the architecture strategies around other layers of the architecture such as engagement, integration, services, data, infrastructure and security to make it suitable for AI and ML. You will also act as a glue between data scientists, data engineers, developers, operations (DevOps, DataOps, MLOps) and business unit leaders to govern and scale the AI/ML initiatives.

**Responsibilities**
- Harness the power of data and artificial intelligence to accelerate change and transformation of IndiGo; contribute digital thought leadership with AI-driven mindset to a larger tech community.
- Be change agents to help the IndiGo adopt an AI-driven mindset. Take a pragmatic approach to the limitations and risks of AI, and project a realistic picture in front of executive leaders.
- Work with product managers, data scientists, ML engineers and Front-end developers to orchestrate technical architecture for AI products/ solutions that interface with Machine Learning and Deep Learning models.
- Architect, position, design technical specifications for AI solutions which include but not limited to machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, Natural Language Processing, Natural Language Understanding, Natural Language Generation, search, information retrieval, information extraction, probabilistic graphical models, chatbots, virtual assistant projects and implement the same.
- Collaborate with peers across multiple technology disciplines to ensure that AI platform and solutions deliver business and technical requirements. Collaborate with the team to design, develop and deploy new AI products/ solutions that comply with industry best practices and standards.
- Oversee and manage the full AI program life cycle implementations; build and mentor a team of developers to create and maintain portfolio of AI products/ solutions
- Assist with designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise architecture compliance. Support AI/ML engineering team to ensure that AI/ML implementation adhere to enterprise architecture guidelines, standards, and patterns. Be a strong voice in the federated architecture team and architecture CoP (Communities of Practice) and promote the evolution of IndiGo’s architecture strategy and roadmap. Participate in key contract negotiations ensuring that Enterprise alignment is anchored with contracts.
- Coach, mentor and collaborate with peers, solution architects, development teams and platform teams to ensure implementation of architecture best practices that supports IndiGo’s Business vision.

**Qualifications**
- More than 10 years of experience in hands-on architecture and software development, preferably with some years dedicated to AI/ML architecture.
- Experience in architecting, designing, developing, and deploying enterprise AI solutions involving Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning and Data Science.
- In-depth knowledge of AI components and architectural trade-offs across data management, governance, model building, and production workflows of AI.
- Understand the workflow and planning pipeline architectures of ML and deep learning frameworks, with data, training/retraining, and deployment.
- Demonstrated expertise in modeling techniques with different types of algorithms and development in at least one of the machine learning, deep learning, time-series, anomaly detection and prediction techniques.
- Experience in solving problems in industry using deep learning methods such as recurrent neural networks (RNN, LSTM), convolutional neural nets, auto-encoders etc.
- Knowledge of open-source libraries such as Keras, Tensor Flow, PyTorch.
- Hands on experience in some of the development tools, languages and frameworks such as R, Python, Java, C, C++, JSP, Ruby, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, jQuery, Angular, Bootstrap, RESTful services, XML, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, or related technologies.
- In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in AI cloud spectrum such as AI/ML Services of AWS, GCP and MS Azure.
- Strong experience in software engineering and DevSecOps principles, including knowledge of CI/CD workflows and tools (exposure to MLOps/MLFlow).
- A transformational mindset, and proven ability to make pragmatic short-term decisions whilst aligning with a long-term strategic outcome.
