Logistics Executive

**Job Summary**:
The Logistic Executive plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the company’s supply chain, from product sourcing and storage to transportation and final delivery. This position demands expertise in coordinating logistics processes, implementing cost-saving measures, and ensuring compliance with legal and industry standards. The Logistic Executive is also responsible for improving processes, managing both physical and digital records, and enhancing overall efficiency in logistics operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **End-to-End Supply Chain Management**:

- Plan, coordinate, and oversee logistics operations, from sourcing raw materials to product delivery to customers.
- Manage third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight forwarders, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality of service.
- Ensure efficient and effective flow of materials, goods, and information throughout the supply chain.
- **Warehousing and Storage Optimization**:

- Supervise the warehouse team and manage space optimization to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Implement and monitor warehousing policies, processes, and best practices.
- Ensure proper handling of goods and adherence to safety and storage regulations, including temperature-sensitive products.
- **Fleet Management**:

- Oversee the management of company-owned and leased transport fleets, ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and operating efficiently.
- Develop routing plans and optimize transportation schedules to minimize delays and reduce fuel consumption.
- Track vehicle performance, fuel usage, and maintenance schedules.
- **Demand Planning & Forecasting**:

- Work with the sales and procurement teams to forecast demand and ensure proper inventory levels.
- Conduct regular analysis of sales trends, seasonal variations, and other factors to adjust logistics strategies.
- Use forecasting models and tools to predict inventory requirements and optimize stocking levels.
- **Risk Management & Mitigation**:

- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to avoid disruptions.
- Develop contingency plans for unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters, transportation strikes, or supplier issues.
- Implement security measures to protect inventory during transport and storage.
- **Technology and Automation**:

- Leverage logistics software systems (such as ERP, WMS, or TMS) to manage and monitor supply chain activities.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies like AI, IoT, and automation to integrate into existing logistics operations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the effective use of technology for tracking shipments and inventory in real time.
- **Budgeting and Financial Oversight**:

- Develop and monitor logistics budgets, ensuring that spending is aligned with company goals.
- Implement strategies to minimize freight, warehousing, and operational costs while maintaining service quality.
- Analyze cost performance and generate reports to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- **Customer Relationship Management**:

- Work closely with the customer service team to resolve any issues related to deliveries, product shortages, or damaged goods.
- Act as a liaison between the company and customers, ensuring satisfaction by managing delivery schedules and addressing concerns.
- **Continuous Improvement Initiatives**:

- Identify bottlenecks in logistics processes and implement improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency.
- Conduct process audits, identify gaps, and ensure corrective actions are taken to meet KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
- Implement lean logistics principles to reduce waste and increase value in supply chain activities.
- **Compliance and Regulatory Adherence**:

- Ensure compliance with local and international transportation laws and regulations, including customs clearance, import/export tariffs, and trade agreements.
- Maintain updated knowledge of industry regulations, including safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Liaise with government authorities when necessary to ensure smooth logístical operations, especially for cross-border shipments.

- **Sustainability Initiatives**:

- Implement environmentally-friendly practices, such as optimizing routes to reduce carbon footprint, using sustainable packaging materials, and working with green logistics partners.
- Report on sustainability metrics and align logistics practices with corporate social responsibility goals.
- **Performance Metrics & Reporting**:

- Define, track, and report on logistics KPIs such as delivery times, freight costs, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction rates.
- Develop dashboards to visualize logistics performance and highlight areas for improvement.
- **Staff Training & Development**:

- Train and mentor warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics coordinators on best practices, safety protocols, and new technologies.
