Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design and develop automation test scripts using **UFT/QTP** for functional and regression testing.- Work with test leads and stakeholders to understand test requirements and scope.- Maintain, update, and enhance existing automation frameworks.- Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and report defects using tools like **ALM / Quality Center / JIRA**.- Integrate UFT scripts with test management tools (e.g., ALM).- Perform manual testing when necessary for cases not covered by automation.- Participate in test planning, test case reviews, and defect triage meetings.- Provide timely updates on test execution progress and automation status.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Essential skills:
**Required Skills and Experience**:
**3 to 5 years** of experience in automation testing using **UFT/QTP**.- Strong VBScript skills to develop and debug UFT scripts.- Hands-on experience with **HP ALM / Micro Focus ALM**, including test lab and defect management.- Familiarity with **test automation frameworks**, object repositories, and data-driven testing.- Experience in working on Agile or Waterfall projects.- Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and test life cycle (STLC).- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
