Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled
UFT Automation Tester
with
3–4 years of experience
in functional and regression test automation using
Micro Focus UFT (Unified Functional Testing)
. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in
VBScript
,
test framework development
, and
automation execution
integrated within
CI/CD pipelines
. Exposure to
UFT testing on OpenText data center platforms
will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Micro Focus UFT / UFT One.
  • Develop and enhance automation frameworks (Keyword-driven, Data-driven, Hybrid, or BDD).
  • Collaborate with manual testers and developers to identify test scenarios suitable for automation.
  • Execute and analyze automated test results to ensure accuracy and stability.
  • Integrate test automation with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Git.
  • Manage test cases, execution, and reporting using HP ALM / Quality Center.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint-level quality assurance.
  • Perform API automation using UFT One (preferred).
  • Troubleshoot automation failures and perform root cause analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to QA standards, documentation, and process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–4 years of experience in automation testing using Micro Focus UFT.
  • Proficiency in VBScript for UFT scripting.
  • Experience in framework design and development (Keyword/Data-driven/Hybrid/BDD).
  • Hands-on experience with HP ALM / Quality Center.
  • Experience with CI/CD integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Git.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile processes.
  • Experience with API automation testing using UFT One (preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Good To Have

  • Experience working with OpenText data center platforms.
  • Knowledge of version control tools (Git, Bitbucket).
  • Exposure to cloud-based test environments.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification in Micro Focus UFT / Test Automation is a plus.
