**JOB DESCRIPTION : GENSET SERVICE TECHNICIAN**

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Genset Service Technician to join our team. As a Genset Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting services for various types of generator sets (gensets). This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in genset service, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform regular maintenance and inspection tasks on gensets to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with gensets, using specialized tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, alternators, controllers, fuel systems, cooling systems, and electrical wiring.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while working on gensets.
- Keep accurate records of service activities, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with the service team to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize service requests.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers and colleagues regarding genset operation and maintenance.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to genset service.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in genset service, with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
- In-depth knowledge of genset components, including engines, alternators, controllers, fuel systems, and cooling systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in gensets.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Familiarity with load bank testing and the ability to interpret test results.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effectively interacting with customers and team members.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification or formal training in genset service or related field.
- Experience working with different brands and models of gensets.
- Knowledge of generator control systems and remote monitoring technologies.
