Restaurant Cashier

**Role Summary**:
The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for handling all cash and card transactions, maintaining accurate billing, and providing excellent customer service at the payment counter. They ensure smooth payment operations and support front-of-house activities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Greet customers and assist them with billing and payment.
- Accurately process cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, and other payment methods.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change as required.
- Verify bills against orders before finalizing payment.
- Maintain the cash register and reconcile cash at the end of each shift.
- Record transactions in POS (Point of Sale) system accurately.
- Handle advance bookings, takeaway orders, and bill settlements.
- Assist in answering customer queries about menu items, offers, or promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier counter.
- Follow cash handling and security protocols.
**Skills & Competencies**:
- Basic math and accounting skills.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
**Qualifications**:
- 12th pass or higher education preferred.
- Prior cashier or customer service experience in hospitality is an advantage.
