**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Head of Placements and Industry Relations**

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor or other designated authority, the Head of Placements and Industry
Relations is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance students' employability, facilitate successful placements, and foster strong relationships with employers and industry partners.
The primary focus of this role is to connect students with relevant job opportunities, internships, and industry experiences that align with their academic pursuits and career or Entrepreneurial goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Placement Strategy and Program Development:

- Develop a comprehensive placement strategy that aligns with the university's vision and student career development needs.
- Collaborate with faculty, academic departments, and student support services to integrate career preparation into the curriculum.
- Establish and manage structured placement programs, internships, and cooperative education opportunities.

2. Industry Engagement and Partnership Development:

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with employers, industry representatives, and alumni to identify employment opportunities.
- Collaborate with industry partners to understand their talent needs and promote the university's students and graduates.
- Arrange networking events, career fairs, and employer information sessions to facilitate meaningful interactions between students and employers.

3. Student Career Development and Coaching:

- Provide career counselling, coaching, and workshops to help students develop essential job search skills, such as resume writing, interviewing, and networking.
- Conduct mock interviews and offer personalized guidance to students to enhance their readiness for the job market.
- Advise students on career pathways and assist them in making informed career decisions.

4. Placement and Employment Support:

- Facilitate the matching of students with relevant job opportunities and internships, considering their interests and skill sets.
- Monitor the progress of students during internships and placements and address any challenges or concerns that arise.
- Maintain records of student placements and employment outcomes for reporting and analysis.

5. Alumni Relations and Networking:

- Collaborate with the alumni affairs office to leverage the alumni network for job opportunities and mentorship programs.
- Engage with alumni who are industry professionals to promote the university and its students in the job market.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Collect and analyse data related to graduate outcomes, placement rates, and industry trends to inform program improvements.
- Prepare regular reports for university leadership and other stakeholders to demonstrate the impact of career services initiatives.

7. Career Development Workshops and Events:

- Plan and coordinate career development workshops, seminars, and events to enhance students' professional skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with faculty and guest speakers to deliver industry-specific workshops and panels

**Qualifications and Professional Experience**:

- A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Management, Technology, higher education administration, counselling, human resources, Agriculture, Legal).
- 8-12 years of experience in career services, industry relations, or talent acquisition.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with employers and industry partners, Industry Bodies like NASSCOM, ASSOCHAM, SDC, Govt Organisations
- Strong understanding of career development theories, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to guide and support students in their career exploration and job search process.
- Analytical skills to track and report on placement and employment outcomes.
- Familiarity with career services software and databases.
- Knowledge of market trends and employer expectations across various industries

**Salary**: From ₹40,000.00 per month
