We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented MIS Executive to join our Accounts & Finance team and help support the organization’s reporting and data management needs.
**Job Purpose**:
The MIS Executive will be responsible for managing and maintaining management information systems (MIS), generating reports, and providing insights based on data analysis. This role plays a key part in supporting decision-making by ensuring accurate, timely, and well-organized reporting of operational and financial data.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Data Management & Reporting**:
- Prepare, maintain, and update MIS reports for management, including financial and operational data.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports based on pre-defined metrics and business requirements.
- Monitor data quality and accuracy, identifying and rectifying any discrepancies in reporting.
- Develop and automate reports using MIS tools to ensure efficiency and consistency in reporting.
- **Data Analysis & Insights**:
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business operations.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations for senior management as required.
- **Database Management**:
- Manage and maintain databases to ensure data integrity and security.
- Support the integration of various data sources into the MIS system for comprehensive reporting.
- Regularly update databases with the latest data to ensure reports are based on the most current information.
- **Collaboration with Departments**:
- Work closely with various departments, including Finance, Operations, and Sales, to gather required data for reporting purposes.
- Assist teams in interpreting and using MIS data to improve performance and achieve business goals.
- **System Optimization & Automation**:
- Suggest and implement improvements to existing MIS processes and tools to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Automate repetitive reporting tasks to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
- **Support in Decision Making**:
- Provide accurate and relevant data to help in the decision-making process for business strategies and financial planning.
- Prepare dashboard reports to provide a quick and clear overview of key metrics for management.
**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**:
- Timeliness and accuracy of MIS reports and data analysis.
- Effectiveness of automated reporting and system improvements.
- Quality of insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Collaboration and responsiveness to requests from other departments.
- Data integrity and security within the MIS system.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in MIS reporting or data analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in MS Excel, database management, and MIS tools (e.g., Google sheet.). Knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools is a plus.
