**Position: IT Infrastructure Executive**:
Himalayan Institute of Alternatives, Ladakh (HIAL) is an upcoming Alternative Institute for Mountain Development which follows Contextual Learning and Experiential Pedagogy where students learn by doing and earn while they learn. It aims to develop Ladakh into a benchmark of sustainable living for the mountain world, where all children receive a meaningful education that prepares them for a life of dignity in harmony with nature. It believes in collaborative exercise between learners and facilitators.
Instead of solving problems with the conventional 3Rs (Reading, writing, and arithmetic), the learners are encouraged to solve problems using the 3Hs: Bright Head, Kind Heart, and Skilled Hands. The institute is
promoted by the renowned leaders in entrepreneurial education in India and attracts talent and grants from leading corporates and Government bodies in India. As a live lab to the school of responsible tourism we are nurturing farm stays to support local economy by empowering the villagers of Ladakh while providing an authentic experience to the tourists and enabling the students to learn the basics of hospitality while working with the local communities.
We aim to promote regenerative construction technologies to develop Ladakh as a model community for the Hindukush Himalayas and ultimately the mountain regions of the world. We prioritise on using sun
and earth (and waste) to build our buildings but also work with conventional materials when needed. We are pioneers in Passive Solar Heated Building technology, also excelling in energy efficient and low
- carbon/carbon-neutral technologies. We hope to bring down the cost of construction and optimise energy needs of the buildings through continuous improvement and innovation, and leading by constructing exemplar buildings.

**About the role**:
You will be responsible for the entire Operation, support and maintenance of the Institute’s IT
Infrastructure which will include Campus technical support as well as online website administration
of all HIAL platforms.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Provide hardware & software solutions
2. Website Administration for all HIAL websites including HIAL website, Sheshyon website and Himalayan Farm stay website
3. IT infrastructure Process Improvement
4. On-site technical support for maintenance of IT infrastructure presence with no down time
5. Troubleshoot Technical & software issues as an when necessary
6. Support and maintain IT infrastructure
7. Coordinate with all teams for IT related support.
8. Make data collecting forms and other related changes on website.
9. Attention to details needed for understanding the content and the way it needs to be uploaded on the website to maintain the brand value.
10. Shall be responsible for uploading correct and approved content on the website.11. Obtain necessary permits from authorities as and when required for setting up and
maintenance of the network.
12. Analyze and mitigate risks and inform the management about any issues in advance related to IT.
13. Ensure no down time of websites.
14. Maintain and update career page of the website for open vacancies in coordination with HR team.

**Mandatory Background**:
1. Degree in computer science or relevant equivalent qualification
2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

**Location**: Phyang Village (Leh), Ladakh

**Compensation**: Rs 3.6 lacs CTC per annum
