Experience in full vehicle testing at proving grounds.
- Experience in materials and process selection used in the design of automotive components to meet corrosion requirements.
- Demonstrate experience in corrosion test procedures and the selection of materials to minimize corrosion. Experience with relevant Industry standards (ASTM, ISO, SAE, ILSAC) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate, communicate and implement a strategic vision in english and spanish.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to write technical specifications.
- Self-starter, able to work independently as well as in a team, able to follow directions and to make job related decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Knowledge in basic statistics and process control.
- Direct experience in an Automotive Engineering or Laboratory or Research environment is a plus.
- Demonstrate experience with ISO9001 and/or ISO17025 audits is a plus.
- High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Develop, review and publish laboratory test procedures and write reports based on Laboratory experimental tests results related to Corrosion.
- Responsible for ensuring that preferred practice materials and processes are implemented on new vehicles programs to achieve global corrosion performance requirements.
- Responsible in early development design reviews for high risk systems and components.
- Ensure all enablers are properly utilized and released to meet corrosion Functional Objectives for global and regional targets.
- Evaluate both laboratory and vehicle level test results, resolve development issues related to corrosion performance
- Participate in field surveys and direct the teardown activities for vehicle level testing.
- Develop laboratory corrosion test procedures and write reports on lab results
