Role purpose and key accountabilities

This role, within the Colt Quality Assurance Group - Operating model, will be responsible for the E2E execution & delivery of projects and stakeholder management within the Quality Assurance area.

This role is to engage oneself in the Test Execution and Test Management on a day-to-day/regular basis and closely work with the all IT Infra & Apps Operations teams and business teams.

To undertake all quality assurance / Testing related activities for IT projects as appropriate in order to ensure solutions will work as expected when launched. This will include, but is not limited to:

Develop sufficient understanding of the system(s) to be tested in order to be able to assess what the system is meant to do, its key features and who will use it and subsequently to develop a system(s) test plan.

Perform/manage System Integration testing, User Acceptance test management, Regression testing, Automation Testing and Performance testing.

Plan the test execution and track the progress on daily basis.

Manage & track design defects to timely resolution using industry standard tools

Create & maintain high-quality documentation for test processes & test artefacts

Create a list of milestones and checkpoints and set measurable criteria to check the quality on timely basis

To co-ordinate and manage engagements with Service Delivery, Operations team and vendor management.

To manage communications and report Testing activities & status to key stakeholders

To ensure the scope of all testing is sufficient ensure a comprehensive level of test coverage but does not repeat tests.

To undertake Quality Assurance checks to ensure that only ‘fit-for-purpose’ code is delivered into test environments

To prepare and maintain relevant test documentation and other testing artefacts.

To take responsibility for: time management; reporting and monitoring; risk management; issue management; quality assurance and change management.

To support other test team members and associated IT and Business resources as appropriate to the implementation of testing related activities.

Prepare retrospective analysis of project/Program.

Defining & highlighting the risks / contingencies and mitigation plans with stakeholders.

Creating strategies to mitigate those risks and take necessary measures to control the risks.

Essential requirements [skills, experience, qualifications]

6 - 8 years of total IT experience (5 years of Telecom Domain relevant experience - desirable)

Knowledge of Telecom BSS/OSS Domain

Knowledge of Functional Areas - Service Order Fulfilment and Provisioning, Service Assurance, Incident Management.

Exposure to working in Agile Delivery Model.

Working experience in Siebel-CRM, Netcracker, CPQ, Kenan, Network Fault monitoring tools (SMARTS, Netcool, Ciena UAA)

Working experience in any of the functional areas like CRM / Order Management/ Inventory management/ Billing /Service Assurance etc.

Test Planning & Execution.

Stakeholder management and delivery management experience with excellent communication & leadership skills.

Qualification : Graduate or above in Engineering/Computer Sciences
