As a Proposal/RFP Manager for the Staffing Industry in the US Federal and State sectors, your job responsibilities may include:
Proposal Management: You will be responsible for managing the entire proposal development process, from analyzing the RFP requirements to developing a winning proposal strategy, creating a compliance matrix, leading a cross-functional proposal team, and ensuring that the proposal is completed and submitted on time.
RFP Analysis: You will need to carefully analyze the RFP requirements, identify the scope of work, evaluate the evaluation criteria, and develop a proposal strategy that highlights the company's strengths and differentiators.
Compliance Matrix: You will be responsible for creating a compliance matrix that maps RFP requirements to proposal content, ensuring that all requirements are met and that the proposal is fully compliant with the RFP.
Proposal Review: You will be responsible for managing the proposal review process, including coordinating reviews by SMEs, proposal writers, and proposal managers to ensure that the proposal is error-free, well-written, and meets all requirements.
Proposal Submission: You will need to manage the proposal submission process, ensuring that the proposal is submitted on time and that all required documentation is included.
Federal and State Regulations: You will need to have a strong understanding of federal and state regulations related to the staffing industry, including relevant labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Relationship Management: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with potential clients, industry partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful proposal outcomes.
Post-submission Activities: You will be responsible for following up with the clients after proposal submission, and conducting debriefings to analyze and improve the proposal development process.
In addition to these, you may also need to possess exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented, have a strong sense of urgency, and be able to work well under tight deadlines and pressure. You should have previous experience working in the staffing industry, with knowledge of the US Federal and State markets. You should also be familiar with proposal development processes, tools, and technologies.
