Introduction:
The role is for UNSECURED Team. Majorly, team handles BI, UK Cards, CA CL portfolio. It is dynamic both in terms of administration and work. The person will have individual responsibilities and deliverables. It will be needed to develop, design and maintain tableau dashboards and analytics - including creation of interactive dashboards to improve business processes. Manage and utilize Tableau platform to develop meaningful insights and perform the necessary data analysis. Development, standardization and delivery of Capital and Risk Information through dashboards aided by valuable portfolio insights to help portfolio analysts, senior Risk Managers, Group Risk, Barclays Board and Regulators make informed decisions in compliance with Regulatory and Group Risk Policies. Improve overall process in the data management and manipulation. Developing database queries to analyse the effects and troubleshoot any issues.

What will you be doing?

Analytical Mart
- Liaise with multiple stakeholder to understand and translate the requirement
- Ensure project meets the deadline as per agreed timelines
- Analyse requirements to find the most appropriate technical solution
- Understand the data flow from source to target data layer
- Design the target data layers along with understanding of dimensions & facts and how to retain them data marts.
- Development of codes to achieve end result
- Testing and ensuring requirements are clearly met
- Marinating and enhancement of existing codes

Analytical Reporting
- Design, develop, conducts unit testing, and maintains complex Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.
- Technical expertise in areas of Tableau architecture, design and implementation.
- Designing the dashboards and stories with the designing principles of reporting
- Transform and massage data using Big data technology and make it usable for reporting
- Using Tableau carry out investigations, reconciliations and analysis to explain trends, outliers, peaks and troughs demonstrating impact of Business strategy on risk metrics
- Understand, articulate and interpret the credit risk metrics
- Translation of excel generated packs onto Tableau reporting tool through enhanced visualisations.
- Transform SAS data and design in excel to make it usable for Tableau Reporting

Improving Performance
- Accuracy of reporting while connecting reporting to the authoritative data sources and identifying correct flags on the data for identification
- Lead Initiatives to improve and automate processes to minimize errors and reduce effort
- Independently manage and implement best practice for Tableau Server
- Regularly monitor and improve Tableau dashboard performance

What we’re looking for:

- Possess a very good /advanced understanding of developing dashboards in Tableau with supporting statistical knowledge.
- Strong SQL skills
- Knowledge of Hadoop/HDFS storage and most efficient way of storing the data
- Rich experience in BIG Data tools like Hive, Impala etc.
- Possess analytical skill in deriving outliers, analysing trend using Tableau
- Experience with big data technologies in designing the data for Tableau usage
- Monitoring dashboards and make changes as required.
- Actively manage the performance and usability of Tableau to get the desired result.
- Should have experience in influencing the users to move away from excel and accept Tableau platform for analysis
- Should have translated the excel functionality in Tableau
