Job Role and Responsibilities of Counter Sales Staff:
Job Role:
Counter sales staff work at the front desk or sales counters in retail stores, businesses, or outlets. Their primary responsibility is to assist customers, process transactions, and ensure a smooth sales experience. This role often involves customer interaction, inventory management, and helping customers with product inquiries and purchases.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Assistance:

- Greet and welcome customers as they arrive.
- Provide information about products and services.
- Assist customers in selecting products based on their needs and preferences.

2. Sales Transactions:

- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers.
- Ensure accuracy in billing and pricing.

3. Product Knowledge:

- Stay informed about the products being sold, including features, benefits, and pricing.
- Educate customers about promotions, warranties, and other value-added services.

4. Stock Management:

- Monitor and maintain inventory levels at the counter.
- Restock items as needed and ensure display shelves are tidy.
- Report any shortages or overstock issues to the management.

5. Customer Service:

- Address customer complaints or concerns professionally.
- Resolve issues promptly or escalate them to supervisors if necessary.
- Provide after-sales support and follow up on customer satisfaction.

6. Store Cleanliness:

- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the counter area.
- Ensure that promotional materials, brochures, or signage are appropriately displayed.

7. Reporting:

- Track daily sales and report figures to management.
- Assist in compiling inventory and sales reports as required.

8. Sales Targets:

- Work towards meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Actively engage customers to upsell or cross-sell products.

9. Security:

- Ensure the security of the sales counter, including cash registers and product displays.
- Follow company procedures to prevent theft or loss.

Skills Required:

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
- Sales-oriented mindset.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service focus and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
