- Scheduling: Create and manage schedules and monitor crew attendance

- Delegation: Delegate tasks and responsibilities to crew members, contractors, and other workers
- Safety: Emphasize safe use of all tools and equipment and enforce the proper use of safety gear
- Hiring: Hire construction workers and trade professionals to perform specific tasks
- Budgeting: Monitor budgeting expenses for workers, supplies, or tools
- Compliance: Review laws and regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Communication: Communicate messages between management and on-site teams
- Record keeping: Maintain records for health and safety purposes
