**Job Summary**:
The Manufacturing Chemist is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the chemical manufacturing processes. This role involves working closely with production teams to ensure that chemical products are produced according to quality standards, safety regulations, and efficiency goals. The Manufacturing Chemist will be involved in scaling up processes from the lab to production scale, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing process improvements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Process Optimization**:

- Develop, optimize, and scale up chemical manufacturing processes from lab to production scale.
- Monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure consistent product quality and maximum efficiency.
- **Quality Control**:

- Conduct and oversee analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Prepare and maintain detailed records of manufacturing processes, experiments, and results.
- Generate reports on process performance, product quality, and any issues encountered.
- Ensure proper documentation for regulatory compliance and audits.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with R&D, engineering, and quality assurance teams to align production processes with product specifications.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to address production challenges and improvements.
- **Equipment and Facilities Management**:

- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure that facilities are maintained in good condition and comply with cleanliness and safety standards.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of chemical processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques and instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with [specific types of chemicals, industries, or manufacturing techniques relevant to the company].
- Knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to the industry (e.g., GMP, GLP).
- Certification or training in process safety management.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to work in a laboratory and manufacturing environment, including wearing protective gear.
