Product Designer

**About the Role**

We are looking for a product designer with solid front-end engineering background in your previous role and is familiar with technical documentation to help us on building a centralized documentation center for developers. The ultimate goal of this project is to accelerate partners and the devs community to integrate and seamlessly build payment products on top of our payment platform, which will strategically strengthen our position as a leader in the industry.

You will also be able to take care of more than one product/project to ensure you’re always challenged and developed. As a leader in the payment industry, we are constantly revitalizing our product lineup and innovating.

As an independent product designer, you’ll work closely with the product manager, engineers, writer, researcher, and business team with minimum guidance from the design lead/manager. You’ll provide the user’s point of view to the discussions and collaborate with the rest of the product team to ensure that users will have the best solution to the issue at hand.

**What You Will Do**:

- Develop the information architecture (IA) and the strategy, specifically to build centralized documentation for developers
- Collaborate closely with content strategist/UX Writer, engineers, product, operation, and business to develop the IA and the approach/strategy
- Own multiple streams/pods or projects assigned with less supervision
- Define, estimate and manage design project tasks using a project management platform, both for design and development, and consistently track the progress in a timely manner
- Share your work regularly within an internal design team, product/engineering team, and regular design review
- Participate actively in the hiring process and mentor junior designers to help them through their day-to-day work, and provide guidance on design craft and core skills

**What You Will Need**:

- At least have 3 years of experience in product design roles
- Had a frontend engineering role in the past before switching to a product design role
- Able to understand the product briefs (problem space) and able to communicate/present/explain ideas and solutions to the stakeholders and teams with less supervision from the manager or project lead
- Works closely with other functions (research, data, product, business) to influence strategy with less supervision
- Contributes to stream-level OKR planning together with the manager or project lead
- Ability to dive into users’ pain points and validate the hypothesis through usability testing or any other type of research
- Understand the concept of a design language system and how to strategically use it as an advantage to the design process.

Our closest milestones are revitalizing online payment systems and unifying the payment dashboard (unifying at least 4 dashboards, web & mobile) and making them into a seamless end-to-end experience for individuals, SMB to enterprise. This design team is a dedicated team for the Merchant Payment product team, specifically within Merchant Experience streams. Merchant Payment is responsible for building and growing the merchant payments ecosystem, through online and offline payment solutions (Card) as well as providing merchants with a productivity suite to run their businesses.
