Job Title: QA Head **(Quality Assurance Head**)

Department: Quality Assurance

Location: Textiles Made-Up Factory, Bhiwandi-Thane

Job Summary:
The QA Head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance in

the made-up factory, including fabric and made-up manufacturing

processes, trim and packaging materials, thread quality, and vendor/job

worker quality. The role involves building and nurturing QA teams, training

production and quality staff, improving QA processes, ensuring

compliance with standards, and facing customer and compliance audits.

The QA Head will ensure zero non-compliances and drive continuous

improvement in quality across all stages of production.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance and Process Improvement
- Analyze and Reduce Defects:

- Analyze and reduce cutting defects by 50% from production.
- Analyze and reduce stitching defects by 30% from production.
- Analyze and reduce finishing defects by 30% from production.
- Analyze and reduce packing defects by 50% from production.
- Ensure zero rejections by job workers.
- Process Improvement:

- Continuously improve QA processes to enhance product quality and

reduce defects.
- Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for

recurring quality issues.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures

(SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) for all processes.
- Conduct self-reviews and internal process audits to identify gaps

and ensure compliance.

2. Team Building and Training
- Build and Nurture QA Teams:

- Recruit, train, and mentor QA team members to ensure high

performance.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the

team.
- Training Programs:

- Conduct fortnightly training sessions for job workers and têxtiles

factory staff to reduce defects.
- Train production and quality teams on quality standards, defect

prevention, and process improvements.
- Organize workshops on fabric quality, trim and packaging

materials, and thread quality.

3. Documentation and Reporting
- Monthly QA Reports:

- Submit analyzed QA monthly reports with CAPA to the Operations

Director by the 5th of each month.
- Include Key Results (KR) for job workers and fabric sourcing

feedback for fabric suppliers.
- Audit Documentation:

- Maintain all documentation related to QMS audits, customer

audits, and compliance audits.
- Ensure all records are up-to-date and readily available for audits.

4. Audits and Compliance
- Customer and Compliance Audits:

- Face customer audits and third-party inspections with zero non
- conformance.
- Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO, BSCI,

SEDEX) and customer-specific requirements.
- Internal Audits:

- Conduct regular internal process audits to ensure adherence to

SOPs and WIs.
- Ensure zero non-compliance (NCs) in QMS audits.

5. Fabric and Made-Up Manufacturing Expertise
- Technical Knowledge:

- Possess in-depth technical knowledge of fabric manufacturing

processes (weaving, dyeing, finishing).
- Understand made-up manufacturing processes (cutting,

stitching, finishing, packing).
- Expertise in trim and packaging materials, thread quality,

and input material specifications.
- Quality Standards:

- Ensure all products meet customer quality

standards and international benchmarks.
- Stay updated on the latest quality standards and industry best

practices.

6. Vendor and Job Worker Management
- Vendor Quality:

- Monitor and improve the quality of materials supplied by vendors.
- Conduct regular quality audits of job workers and fabric suppliers.
- Ensure zero rejections from job workers.
- Performance Metrics:

- Track and report Key Results (KR) for job workers and vendors.
- Provide feedback to vendors and job workers for continuous

improvement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Defect Reduction:

- Cutting defects reduced by 50%.
- Stitching defects reduced by 30%.
- Finishing defects reduced by 30%.
- Packing defects reduced by 50%.
- Audit Performance:

- Zero non-conformance in QMS audits.
- Zero non-conformance in third-party inspections.
- Training:

- Fortnightly training sessions conducted for job workers and factory

staff.
- Reporting:

- Monthly QA reports submitted by the 5th of each month with CAPA.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Education:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Quality

Management, or a related field.
- Experience:

- Minimum 10-12 years of experience in quality assurance in the

têxtile or made-up industry.
- Proven experience in fabric and made-up manufacturing

processes.
