**Job Summary**:
The Accounts Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial transactions, budget planning, and statutory compliance of the engineering college as per the norms of JNTUH and TAFRC. The role requires maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely submission of reports, and compliance with university and government regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Management & Accounting**:

- Maintain and oversee the college’s financial records, including ledgers, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required by the management and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure timely collection and accounting of student fees, faculty salaries, and other institutional expenses.
- **Budgeting & Financial Planning**:

- Prepare and monitor annual budgets in alignment with the college’s financial policies.
- Assist in fund allocation and cost control measures for efficient financial management.
- Forecast and manage cash flows to ensure smooth financial operations.
- **Statutory Compliance & Audits**:

- Ensure compliance with JNTUH, TAFRC, AICTE and government financial regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate statutory audits, fee audits, and financial inspections.
- Handle income tax, GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory filings and payments as per regulations.
- **Payroll & Vendor Management**:

- Process faculty and staff payroll, ensuring accuracy in salary calculations, deductions, and disbursements.
- Manage vendor payments, purchase orders, and contract agreements in compliance with financial policies.
- **Fee Structure & TAFRC Compliance**:

- Maintain records related to tuition fees, scholarships, and financial aid as per TAFRC guidelines.
- Assist in preparing and submitting fee proposals and justifications to TAFRC.
- Ensure transparency and documentation in fee structures and related financial matters.
- **MIS & Reporting**:

- Prepare and present financial reports and MIS data to management for strategic decision-making.
- Maintain up-to-date records of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and security of data.
- Provide necessary documentation and support during inspections and accreditations.

**Required Qualifications & Skills**:

- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. (CA/ICWA preferred but not mandatory)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in an educational institution.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP-based systems).
- Experience in handling TAFRC and JNTUH-related financial compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

**Preferred Experience**:

- Previous experience in an engineering college or higher education institution.
- Familiarity with JNTUH financial guidelines and TAFRC fee structures.
- Hands-on experience in coordinating with auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial consultants.

**Employment Type**:

- Full-time
- Salary: As per industry standards and experience

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Yearly bonus
