The BBC World Service is an international brand - known for its impartial news content in English and many other languages. We are now looking for a Video Journalist with professional editing and shooting skills to join our Sinhala language news team based in Delhi.

You’ll need solid experience in journalism, an appreciation of impartiality, great communication skills and a first-class understanding of the digital world.
Working from our Delhi bureau, the Sinhala team is closely connected with colleagues based across the globe, predominantly working with staff in Sri Lanka, India and the UK.
This role is open to non-Indian citizens.
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the News Editor for BBC Sinhala, Video Journalists ideate and produce news content in video formats for our site and social pages. You’ll edit raw material and ideally you’ll be able to use a camera or mobile phone to shoot your own videos. You’ll need to know about Sri Lankan, regional and international news and current affairs. You’ll be joining a team that makes impact through original journalism and creative storytelling.
