**Role Overview**:
This role is ideal for young professionals with a strong interest in the development and testing of innovative cooling technologies. The position offers an opportunity to engage in impactful research that addresses the challenges of energy-efficient cooling in modern buildings, utilizing state-of-the-art testing facilities and infrastructure for practical insights and advancements.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Install small mechanical or electrical systems and equipment in laboratory or residential settings. Prepare detailed reports on system performance and document any issues encountered during operation.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure successful project completion, maintaining clear communication on project status, challenges, and progress with team members and supervisors.
- Supervise routine maintenance of electrical wiring and systems, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards. Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Conduct performance and safety tests for mechanical systems and room air-conditioning units. Assist in the design of mechanical systems as required.
**Preferred skills**:
- Expertise in refrigeration systems or building management systems (BMS) will be considered an added advantage.
