About the role

Compliance is a key team that ensures Revolut’s products and processes meet the regulatory requirements and translate this into the best customer outcomes. They’ve got an outstanding ability to find solutions and carry out testing in a purely digital environment. Those data-driven experts know that better people and machines are the most effective way of managing conduct risk

We’re looking for a Financial Crime Escalations Officer to ensure effective and compliant Sanctions and PEP Regulations across all Revolut entities. The objective of this role is to perform assessments and make decisions on which FinCrime risks will be escalated to the second line of defence.

What you’ll be doing
- Acting as the escalation point and ensuring high-quality, timely investigations to second line of defence for final decision-making
- Responding to regulatory inquiries and other requests from local authorities related to FinCrime risks
- Responding to queries related to complex cases where second line of defence review is needed
- Reporting, monitoring, and detecting trends of rare and/or new patterns, working with MLRO to escalate significant cases
- Working to ensure the Sanctions and PEP Regulations are being properly followed for all Revolut entities
- Participating and collaborating with management as needed in projects, training, and implementation of new processes

What you'll need
- Experience as a Compliance/FinCrime Officer in a major financial institution
- Knowledge of FinCrime operations with experience acting as the escalation point to make sure positive hits are investigated and escalated in a timely manner
- Solid knowledge of AML, Sanctions, and PEP regulations
- An ability to review policies and procedures and identify gaps that might need changes
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to analyse complex information, identify patterns/red flags, and come up with proper solutions
- Impeccable communication skills to present a summary and proposed conclusion of an investigation to senior management
- Fluency in English

Nice to have
- Fluency in other languages
- Experience with complex investigations and providing risk assessments

Compensation range
- Vilnius: €2,500 - €3,600 gross monthly*
- Lithuania: €2,500 - €3,600 gross monthly*
- Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process
