Key Responsibilities
- Prepare for new or changed services to meet defined needs of organisational users or providers
- Maintain and enhance the IT infrastructure and infrastructure components, including task automation via tools and coding- Build and manage systems and components in virtualised and cloud computing environments
- Monitor performance of systems and services related to their contribution to organisation performance, security, and sustainability
- Provide technical leadership to optimise the performance of IT infrastructure
- Investigate and manage the adoption of tools, techniques, and processes (including automation) for the management of systems and services
- Oversee the planning, installation, maintenance, and acceptance of new and updated infrastructure components and infrastructure-based services
- Aligns to service expectations, security requirements, and other quality standards
- Ensures that operational procedures and documentation are fit for purpose and kept up to date
- Identifies, records, monitors, and resolves operational issues
- Provides appropriate status and other reports to specialists, users, and managers

Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components (physical devices, virtual resources, software, middleware, network services, and data storage)
- Experience with virtualised and cloud computing environments - experience in Azure must- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and networking fundamentals
- Understanding of cloud service providers' security and compliance requirements
- Experience with IT service management frameworks (ITIL, ISO 20000)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Required Certificates
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 2 years in a senior role
- Proven track record of successfully planning, implementing, and maintaining complex IT systems and services
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with ITIL or ISO 20000 frameworks is an asset
