Job Description:
**Position Overview**:
As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving a variety of beverages. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that each customer receives high-quality drinks in a timely and friendly manner. Attention to detail, a passion for coffee, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Customer Service**:
Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Take customer orders and provide information about menu items.
Make recommendations based on customer preferences.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

**Beverage Preparation**:
Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, cappuccino, lattes, and teas.
Grind coffee beans and adjust brewing parameters for different drinks.
Steam and froth milk to create well-textured and visually appealing drinks.
Follow recipes and standards for consistent quality.

**Maintaining Cleanliness**:
Keep the coffee preparation area clean and organized.
Regularly clean and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment.
Ensure proper disposal of waste and adhere to sanitation standards.

**Cash Handling**:
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
Process customer payments using a POS (Point of Sale) system.
Provide customers with receipts and maintain a balanced cash drawer.

**Team Collaboration**:
Work effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate efficiently with kitchen staff for food orders.
Support colleagues during busy periods.

**Product Knowledge**:
Stay informed about the various coffee blends, brewing methods, and menu items.
Provide information to customers about the origin and characteristics of different coffees.

**Upselling**:
Suggest additional items, such as pastries or snacks, to complement customers' beverage choices.
Promote special deals or loyalty programs.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a barista is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift and carry bags of coffee beans and other supplies.
- Work in a fast-paced and sometimes crowded environment.
