Introduction:

- The role holder will join the BBS model development team, who are responsible for model development across Barclaycard’s corporate card and acquiring portfolios.
- They will be responsible for the development of mathematical models, validation and their associated documentation, as well as support of model implementation and their use.
- The role holder will also be expected to work closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure modelling requirements are met.

What will you be doing?
- Develop decisioning models, statistical analyses, optimization procedures, monitoring processes, data quality analyses, and score implementations.
- Validate, track, and monitor delivered projects. Produce robust documentation to ensure replicability of results and fulfil Barclay’s governance requirements.
- Work constructively with other Barclays resources to deliver projects.
- Work with other Risk Analytics staff to ensure project completion within agreed time frames and end-client satisfaction.

What we’re looking for:

- Mathematics/Statistics degree preferred
- A good knowledge of data analysis, theory and statistical techniques (such as linear or nonlinear models, logistic regression, machine learning, macroeconomic forecast, decision trees, cluster analysis and neural networks etc.)
- Strong Python / SAS programming skills
- Analytical ability - Must have a clear understanding and experience in performing data analysis and be capable of working independently on data analysis tasks
