
IT Technician

We are looking for a skilled IT Technician to provide technical support and maintain the organization's hardware, software, and network systems. The IT Technician will play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues, ensuring that all technology infrastructure operates efficiently and effectively.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide first-line technical support for internal users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and other IT equipment.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
- Perform regular system updates and patches to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues and ensure smooth communication between devices.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords in Active Directory or other systems.
- Backup and restore data and perform routine system maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement projects and improve the organization’s IT infrastructure.
- Maintain documentation of technical procedures, configurations, and solutions.
- Provide training and support to users on new software, systems, or technologies.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field is a plus).
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role in a technical support capacity.
- Experience with networking protocols, hardware, and troubleshooting tools.
- Familiarity with managing servers, network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), and VPNs.
- Experience with Active Directory, user account management, and network administration.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
