Role of Pediatric Oncology Social Workers

The pediatric oncology social workers (SW) play an important role in the pediatric oncology team and its mission to improve the standard of care and the quality of life for the patients and their families and thus to improve the cure rate of children with cancer. In order to achieve this goal, Aroh has given them the following responsibilities and functions; and will also continue to give them guidance in achieving their goals and performing their functions.
- Counseling at the time of diagnosis
- Psychosocial support
- Follow-up of patients
- To mobilize funds from governmental and non-governmental schemes.

Secondary Responsibilities:
1. Navigating patients through the hospital systems.

2. Facilitate interactions between patients and physicians.

3. Communications with school

**Salary**: From ₹15,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Flexible shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calicut, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
