Planning routes Drivers use navigational technology to find the best routes to their destination, taking into account factors like traffic and roadblocks. Communicating with clients Drivers may interact with clients in a professional and friendly manner, and may be responsible for getting clients to sign paperwork. Keeping records Drivers may be responsible for keeping track of trip details, mileage, and delivery logs. Adapting to changes Drivers may need to be able to adapt to changes as needed, such as following a different route or schedule. Some skills that are helpful for drivers include: Good organizational and time management skills, Good interpersonal communication skills, Flexibility, and Physical ability to lift and carry materials.
