- Production Operate and monitor machinery and equipment involved in the investment casting process, including wax injection machines, slurry coating equipment, autoclaves, furnaces, and casting machines.
- Ensure machinery is functioning at optimal levels by adjusting parameters like temperature, pressure, and speed.
- Perform metal melting operations, handling materials such as steel, aluminum, or super alloys.
- Oversee the step-by-step production process, from wax pattern creation, mold shelling, de-waxing, and casting to final product finishing.
- Manage the pouring process, ensuring the correct pouring temperatures and methods are used to prevent defects.
- Follow production schedules, ensuring timely and accurate execution of tasks.
- Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspection of casting equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues and collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve equipment malfunctions quickly.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments to machinery as needed to ensure smooth operation.
- Handle and prepare raw materials, including wax, ceramic materials for mold creation, and metals for melting and casting.
- Weigh and mix materials according to specified ratios to ensure product consistency.
- Safely transport materials and products between different stages of the casting process using equipment such as forklifts or cranes.
**Requirements**:
- High school Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical training or certification in foundry operations, metallurgy, or mechanical systems is a plus.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing or foundry environment, preferably in investment casting.
- Experience operating heavy machinery and equipment used in metal casting or similar industries.
- Familiarity with foundry equipment, including wax injection machines, furnaces, and casting machines.
- Basic understanding of metallurgy and the investment casting process.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools and instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
